Is death painful? When you die, where do you go? Is there really an afterlife?
In Spirit Rising, there is always an afterlife. Spirit Rising is the afterlife. An alternate universal dimension, much like Earth. Where spirits wander, roam, and find happiness in their dedicated afterlives.
But not everyone remains in Spirit Rising. Some try to return to Earth, to live full lives among other human beings. These beings of existance fail. Sometimes they get stuck between the two dimensions. Sometimes they perish from existance completely.
However, these spirits still attempt to find ways, to return to their liveliness in the human world. To find true happiness, to be with loved ones, and to return to mortality.
Big cities are the easiest to visit, because of the energy radiating off the humans. The most common gathering place between ghosts and humans is on the west coast, in California, Arizona, and Nevada.
Everyone has their reasons. Sometimes they're happy. Sometimes they aren't. Just like humans, ghosts have feelings too.
They can feel pain. They can feel emotions. They can love. They can hate. In Spirit Rising, they are like normal human beings. But on Earth, they're imaginative figures, dancing between reality and fiction, appearing to humans only when they have enough energy.
Everyone has their reasons. Everyone has their memories. And everyone has their spirit.
Is death painful? Only on occasions.
