The ground groaned in protest as it was forced to split. Darkness seeped from it turning the once green grass into nothing, but ash. The winds grew cold as the sky darkened leaving nothing, but the smell of burnt beauty. The darkness ebbed into a circle and slowly crept up an invisible wall. Then reaching a towering height it curved to create a dome that stood above all of the city. It would be impossible not to notice this structure of darkness. Black fire erupted around the dome flowing upward around it and then it stopped. Everything seemed to stop, time stopped, the flames stopped, everything was silent. Then there was sound, the sound of crashing thunder as it struck the darkened dome destroying it shattering the darkness and the flames. The flames roared in protest and fell to the ground creating a design of war upon the ground. It was the sign of Trigon.
The dome shattered revealing a throne, a simple throne. That wasn't what one would notice however. It was the tower behind it that grotesquely altered in appearance and shape. It was like a gate to hell. Each window roared with black fire and the screams of tortured souls filled the air. The skies opened above the tower and rain began to fall. Thunder filled the silent night and the ground began to growl as soldiers rose from the ground. Demons that had long been silenced in hell or still walked the realms now stood behind the throne, but in a curved formation. They all released their battle cries preparing for war.
A portal in the back of the throne opened. The simple throne became a throne of war. Its structure was so sharp angled and so cruel in design it was fit for the creature that came from it. Raven stepped out of it a sinister smile upon her lips. "Titans! I call you all! I invite you to a battle for your lives!" Raven yelled her voice echoing through the city. Invitations seemed to rain from the sky each in a black envelope each reading the same except the titans that she had called friends once upon a time.
The generic letter read:
Dear heroes and villains I invite you to join our ranks or join the war that will soon engulf this world. If you wish to join us you will be greeted with open arms and a gift. If you decide to fight against us you will be greeted with the battle cry of rage that will be the last thing you ever hear. Lovingly, Raven and Trigon
The letter for the teen titans she called friends read:
Dear friends I invite you to join me you will be promised a place in our ranks. Save yourself pain and possible execution. Join us my dear friends please I beg of you...
Perish with the others if you don't. We don't need you to join our ranks. You will be another pest we will enjoy destroying.
Lovingly, Raven and Trigon The second paragraph was written aggressively and each letter almost symbolic like thanks to their sharp angles. It was obvious this was a possessed Raven or Trigon himself who wrote these.

Monotony.
The concept was enough to drive Rose to insanity, to drinking more often and trying strange drugs, to bringing different men into her bed every night so she didn’t have to face waking up to the same face. The concept was enough to break the men who lingered too long in half and toss their remains to Trigon’s children who lived off of her foul emotions.
Hell, it was even enough to get her to follow Raven into Icarus City despite the warnings of several.
The design of Trigon was etched with Raven’s flames and she smiled. Rose’s look wasn’t so excited, but she was happy to be here, in the very center of where she was not supposed to be, watching the heroes and humans gaze at her with fear filled eyes. The demons rose from the ground, cries permeating the air with such dense hatred and bloodlust that Rose could taste it upon her tongue.
Bones stirred beneath the earth, begging to be released from their earthly confines. Claws scratched upon coffin doors, their staccato beats playing out words for Rose to hear. ‘Bring us to Raven, Bring us to Trigon, We exist to serve thee…’ Rose smiled then. “Quoth the Raven, ‘Nevermore’.” She said and continued to only observe. Then, the purple robed woman threw open her arms as if to embrace the city and its people. Never had she seen anything so sinister look so joyous. Invitations rained from the heavens in black envelopes. Some moved to open them. Some stared at Raven in open reverence. Some writhed on the ground, screaming.
"Titans! I call you all! I invite you to a battle for your lives!”
Rose felt electricity feel the air with static expectation, the hair on the back of her neck rising in anticipation of the battles to come. The skies above became clouded, but not of depression; not a tinge of sadness entered her heart. Today, only blood lust darkened the skies, and lightning flashed about the sky. Claws grew in place of fingernails. Fangs grew in place of teeth. Her bones shifted, repositioning themselves again and again, eager. Her spine wriggled, the grotesque sight of bone moving with only a thin sheet of skin to mask it making the demons crow with glee.
The Earth stretched and yawned, groaning in protest as Trigon made his presence known through his daughter.
And MukLuk couldn’t have been more pissed.
She sat there, watching Raven come forth, demons at her back, and invite the Teen Titans to battle for their lives. She silently hoped Beast Boy wasn’t here; seeing her would probably hurt him. She screamed at her, though. “Didn’t you once call them friends? You abandon them for lust, for power!” The roars of lions escaped her throat. Another female standing beside Raven smiled cruelly and took a few steps towards her. MukLuk narrowed her eyes.
Without a moment’s pause, she whipped out her communicator. “Titans, get to the Plaza. Now.” She paused for a moment. “Raven is here. And she’s brought friends.” She snapped it shut then and turned back to the demon; she entered her mind. “So, Rose…” She began and the girl narrowed her eyes. “Are you hoping to steal my powers? You’re not truly evil, are you? You’re just here for the ride.” But the girl rolled her eyes. “You Titans are so boring. And so predictable.” MukLuk felt a sting in her shoulder and turned to see a white bullet lodged there. “Bones…” She murmured and then quickly shifted into a cheetah, leaping away. The girl turned, following her with bullets ripping from her fingertips, and she rushed away.
‘Titans…’ She whispered silently. ‘Get here fast. I can’t fight them on my own, even if I can split.’

do you know the enemy?
A portal of pure darkness and a wave of eternal chaos ripped through the many dimensions. The portal floating right next to current avatar of Trigon. The portal spit out black and sanguine red hellish flame, mixed with charred remains of distinguishable beings. Onlookers thought they were viewing hell. I laughed as I stepped forth from inside the portal. They only viewed my demonic heart and imagination.
do you know your enemy?
I stepped through the portal onto black steps fathomed of shadows. To others, and to myself, I was in my... "sane" state of mind. A faint smile came to my lips as I watched the small black envelopes littering the ground. I knew what they contained, a simple letter from my father to the Titans. This was the first act of war, and I had been commanded to fight. For Trigon. For change.
well... gotta know the enemy...
My smile disappeared as I saw that no one was gathering. Only a single person stood out. She was most definitely a Titan. And beautiful. The eyes of mine drank in her beauty and body figure. I listened to her scream of accusation at Raven. It was all true... to an extent. Rose fired white bullets of bone at the girl, who had now changed into cheetah. The cheetah bounded away, and the girl with the bones followed. And I followed to. In a flashed, I was between the girl and Rose.
"I got her Rose. Go back to help Raven battle those others who will most likely arrive. This one," I spoke calmly. "is mine."
guess i'm your enemy.

[Sorry for the length, tired. XD] Rose wordlessly glared at Eaite; she knew better than to go against the will of one of Trigon’s kids. Some days, though, she was willing to risk Trigon’s fury and lodge a bone in their hard heads. With a sigh, her face became indifferent and she waved a hand at him. “Fine. Have fun.” Turning, she walked back to Raven where hands half encased in flesh patted her hair in comfort. She smacked them away. She didn’t need comfort. She needed blood.
MukLuk saw the exchange between the two with narrowed eyes; she could smell Trigon even from here. He must have been one of his ever famous children. Retreating back into the woods of the near adjacent park, she snarled at the brief flashes of pain that came from the bullets lodged within her. Returning to human and hoping she had bought some time, she fell back against a tree and clawed out the bullets she had caught; her healing started working once the projectiles had been safely dislodged. The blood had stained her shirt already and she had a feeling Trigon’s kids could smell blood. She had to move but she didn’t want to shift until the deep cuts she had made were completely healed and they would take some time. With a sigh, she decided there was only one thing to do. She pulled her shirt off over her head and tossed it over a tree branch. Maybe that would slow him down a little.
With a growl, she started running. Until those wounds healed, she was helpless. Her feet pounded out a rhythm into the ground, muscles beginning to burn, veins slowly beginning to pump battery acid… The cuts were taking too long. Grabbing at some leaves that had miraculously retained some dew from the early morning, she wiped at the now shallow cuts; shifting would make them deeper, she feared. The stretching and contracting of skin wasn’t good for wounds. The cuts, free of blood, healed without a scar and she leapt into a lion form.
With a roar of challenge, she turned to find the egotistical little shit. She would claw his face off.

i sung of chaos and eternal night,
The girl fled from me into the neighboring woods. The blood was staining her shirt. as she ran through the park. She was bleeding massive amounts of blood. Without a healing power, she would bleed out in the run. I watched the girl's muscles pulse through her clothes. I listened to the thumping of her feet. I had decided to give the buxom beauty a little boost of distance in the chase.
taught by the heav'nly muse to venture down
I followed in a long, striding walk. Her running led her to a tree. The Titan balanced herself against the large oak, her hands were moving to... go into her shoulder. I was amazed. What other powers did this beautiful Titan possess? I was going to be in for a big surprise, I mused to myself. Bloody hands pulled out bone bullets. I stood dumbfounded, as I watched her skin, flesh, and body slowly, slowly heal.
the dark decent, and up to reascend. . .
The next thing I watched made my mouth drop. Her hands lifted her shirt over her head, throwing it to a tree. It caught on a branch, and the sexy lady now stood in her bra. I felt my blood rush to my "buddy down under". Mukluk bounded and ran from me with a growl, chest heaving and bouncing as she ran. The iron-like smell of blood reached my nose when I sniffed. I faintly tasted it in my mouth from the scent that wafted around. I quickened my pace, breaking into a run that made me a faint dark smudge. As fast as I moved, the girl had turned into a lion. The roar that had come forth from her mouth told me her thoughts. My leap into the air was as fast as my run. Darkness and shadows formed around me form, hardening to thin black armor, hard as steel. Hellish claws had formed over my hands, penetrating from my knuckles. A swipe was made from my hand at the enemy.
"Why do you chose to fight?" I spoke with a calm, sincere voice that war not fake. "Why do you chose to battle us? I wish for nothing more than to end this war, but I cannot without my powers. If I fought against my father, he would take them. That would leave me with no powers to fight not either side. I only fight for him because it will bring an end to this war, with my help... Join us."
paradise is lost.

He moved faster than her eyes could follow and she had the infuriating realization that he was probably toying with her. He could have killed her in that moment, vulnerable against the tree. With a leap into the air, he transformed into something hellish, claws sprouting from his knuckles and black armor encasing him. Stinging cuts made themselves known on her shoulder and she turned to look with wide eyes. How could he have hit her so fast? The cuts began to heal in an instant, though, clean and not very deep.
"Why do you choose to fight?"
Great, this guy was a talker. MukLuk bared her fangs in the most menacing snarl she could manage as she was wondering on the inside how this guy was going to cook her after she was dead.
"Why do you choose to battle us? I wish for nothing more than to end this war, but I cannot without my powers. If I fought against my father, he would take them. That would leave me with no powers to fight not either side. I only fight for him because it will bring an end to this war, with my help... Join us."
That mother- Wait, what?
She stumbled for a moment and shook her head, making sure she had heard him right. Join him? Was he insane? Her voice box shifted to manage human speech. “Then you are just as responsible for the killing and bloodshed as he is. After this, there will only be more battles, more killing, more pain and suffering.” She split, two more lions flanking her. “Only the dead have seen the end of war.” Her two clones raced at him from either side while she leapt into the air, trying to think of something heavy to shift into and land on him with. ‘Um… um… ELEPHANT!’
An African elephant was now in place of the lion, flying through the air, ready to land on him. Despite the situation, she couldn’t help but trumpet her amusement. She’d never really been an elephant; having a trunk was kind of fun. She landed on the ground, the earth trembling from her massive bulk, and she wasn’t entirely sure if she had landed on him or not. Her trunk swung about, though, hoping that if he was near he would get a trunk to the face.
Her elephant mouth produced a giggle at that thought. She thought she would be an elephant more often now.
